Plot
"Yankee-kun to Megane-chan" covers the relationship between high school delinquent Daichi Shinagawa (Hiroki Narimiya) and bespectacled class representative Hana Adachi (Riisa Naka). The manga is indeed superior in the comedy section.
But the cuteness of this drama is unbelievable. IMO.

I've only watched two episodes and I'm loving this drama right now. Sure there is significant departure from the manga, that is to be expected, and I do agree that the manga is indeed far superior. But I view the drama as a supplement to the manga not a replacement, and in that role I find it incredibly endearing. While it certainly isn't going to win any Oscars the drama understands that it is first and foremost a comedy and never takes itself too seriously. And on that note I'll simply say that I am truly entertained.

The manga IS better, I hope they followed the manga's story, but I like how Narimiya Hiroki and Naka Risa portrayed the characters.. :D
On the other hand, I was really disappointed with Kawaguchi Haruna, she doesn't have a spec of Himeji Rinka in her, and Rinka should have been small,right.. She's somewhat a TsunDere character.. (>3>)
