Born in 1976 in Quzhou, Zhejiang, China, Xun made her feature film debut in
The Pampered Wife in 1996. Since then, she has appeared in a number of high-profile
Asian films including director Ye Lou’s Su Zhou River (2000), and the title roll in Balzac
and the Little Chinese Seamstress (2002); the latter film, written and directed by Sijie Dai
based on his novel, was acquired by Empire Pictures for North American release
and was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Feature..
