Born in 1952, actor Tomokazu MIURA made his debut with the film adaptation of the classic novel IZU NO ODORIKO in 1974. While successfully continuing his career in the world of both cinema and television, Miura is also noted for his occasional groundbreaking collaborations with upcoming talents, including filmmakers Shinji Soomai, Akira Enomoto, Junji Sakamoto and Naoto Takenaka. For his work with Nobuhiro Suwa, the Cannes competition contender and FIPRESCI Award winner M/OTHER (1999) MIURA is given a co-writing credit.
