Notes

TV Asahi was first established in 1957 as "Nihon Educational Television Co., Ltd." The company began as a for profit educational television channel, but shifted over to a general puprose television station by 1960. The company changed names as well, in 1960 to Net TV and then in April 1977 to Asahi National Broadcasting Company. Finally, in October 23, 2003 the company changed its corporate name to TV Asahi Corporation.
