Plot
A young high school girl (Riko Narumi) leads her school's calligraphy club as they prepapre to compete in the "Shodo Girls Koshien" - a performance calligraphy event involving teams drawing on 10m x 12m sheets of paper while performing to music.

I watched it last friday at event cinemas as well. I loved the movie. I found it intresting.

This was an awesome film! Saw it with school last Friday (I wonder how many other Sydney high school people are on this page...) The bit with the competition was what drew me in. WHAT WAS THAT DS THING THEIR TEACHER WAS ALWAYS PLAYING!?
And the song is Tegami by Angela Aki. It had a longer title that I don't quite remember...

I didn't think a film about calligraphy would be very interesting but I liked this film. It was a little slow in parts but it also had moments of humour and sadness. The performances were all good and the music is excellent.
