Graduated from the Literature Department at Taisho University. Debuted in the film version of popular video game Tokimeki Memorial. She is equipped with various talents as well as singing the theme song for this film. In 2001, she starred in Toki no Kaori: Remember Me, a Korean film remake. In 2004, she displayed her hard hitting acting in the mega-hit horror film Chakushin Ari (aka One Missed Call). Currently, she is one of the leading young actresses in the spotlight.
