I think of Kudo Kankuro as someone who writes by his heart. His writing is very insightful and philosophical. His stories are no nonsense. Most of the dramas he make mirrors the truth.
I particularly love his writing in Manhattan Love Story. The drama appeals to me because, in one way or the other, everyone can almost identify with all the characters in the drama.

I will watch just about anything this dude writes/directs and Ping Pong has become one of my favorite movies. He writes some really funny shit.
