Plot
Back in her high school days Jeon Seol-Hee (Kim Jung-Eun) was the singer for a legendary rock group, but to support her younger sister's education she started to work as a clerk at a top Korean law firm. While working there she met a bright lawyer named Cha Ji-Wook (Kim Seung-Su) and eventually married. Seol-Hee then became the daughter-in-law for an ultra wealthy family, but Seol-Hee soon learns that all that glitters isn't gold.
At social functions Seol-Hee's husband instructs her to not speak and just nod in agreement with the others. Her mother-in-law (Cha Hwa-Yeon) is incredibly insensitive to Seol-Hee as a person. What pushes Seol-Hee to the edge is when Seol-Hee's younger sister, who is now a doctor, is hospitalized with cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant from Seol-Hee. Seol-Hee's mother-in-law opposes Seol-Hee doing the medical procedure because it will interfere with Seol-Hee's visits to a fertility clinic. Seol-Hee's husband offers no support whatsoever. A few days later at a family dinner, Seol-Hee announces that she will file for divorce.
Seol-Hee, now single again, embarks on a new career as a singer for the "Madonna Band," an all female group consisting of "ahjummas" (older women). Seol-Hee also starts a relationship with Jang Tae-Hyeon (Lee Jun-Hyuk), a guitarist and composer ...
Notes
- Actress Kim Seon-A was originally cast for the lead role of Jeon Seol-Yi, but Kim Seon-A dropped out of the production after changes were made to her character. Because of this, "I Am Legend" will air sometime in August, rather in late May as originally planned. Casting for a new female lead is underway.
- On May 31st, production staff announced that actress Kim Jeong-Eun will play the lead role of Jeon Seol-Yi.
- Kim Jung-Eun took vocal lessons from singer Yumi who previously trained actress Kim Ah-Jung for her role in the film "200 Pounds Beauty".
- An O.S.T. of "I Am Legend" was released containing three songs. The song "Sarang Sarang Sarang" (사랑사랑사랑) was sung by Kim Jeong-Eun and "Hwangholhan Kobaek" (황홀한 고백) was sung by all four girls from the "Madonna Band".
- "I Am Legend" will takeover the SBS Mon. & Tuesday 20:45 time slot previously occupied by "Coffee House".

This drama drew me in because of the music (now constantly played on my iPhone! The stories could have been better with a better ending. I agree; I felt cheated with the ending and there should be a continuation developing the story between Seol Hee and Tae Hyeon. The ex-wife getting her way in the end left a bad taste in my mouth; especially when she contributed to the demise of Seol Hee's marriage. Can anyone NOT watch the courtroom video and not CRY!?? Cried buckets over that!! If you are reading the comments and have not seen this, its worth it.

This drama ``I Am Legend" is ok but the ending wasn't good enough.I'm hoping there is a part 2 so that it makes more sense to part 1. If there is a part 2 then i'm hoping that Oh Seung Hye would reunit with Cha Ji Wook(Jeon Seol Hee's ex-husband) and get married also that Oh Seung Hye will agree to leave her child with Jang Tae Hyeon with Jeon Seol Hee meaning that Oh seung Hye would agree with Jeon Seol Hee relationship with Jang Tae Hyeon. And that Jang Tae Hyeon will go out alot on dates with Jeon Seol Hee and his son all together and hopefully Jang Tae Hyeon would propose to Jeon Seol Hee and they will get married as well.And that they will make music together.
Overall the drama is really good and funny.^^

i am from the phillipines i love your show so much its very touching and full of lifes lessons and trials the role of Jeon Seol-Hee is very inspirational i was crying the whole time i was watching the show.i love also Kim Seung-Su a very brilliant and natural actor i love him soo much. although,the ending is not so good i hope that the directors will have a part 2 of the episode so that it can have a happy ending..i hope also that Jeon Seol-Hee and husband lawyer Cha will realize that they really meant for each other and that lawyer Cha will do anything to get back his wife.

I so like "I am legend"!!
I'm from the Philippines and this show is having excellent ratings since it has a very unique story with deep meaning. But the ending is not that good though, because they returned to their own lives, and Jeon Seol-Hee did not had a happy ending with Jeon Seol-Hee....

@Rex - hey Rex in reply to your comment that rock doesn't have to be sexy and they were too old to dress like they did. I believe that was the main point in the drama that being over 30 doesn't disqualify you from being sexy, dressing in a certain way, or even playing rock music. Whether the show was successful in conveying those points you didn't think so, but I thought that they were. Just my two cents.

cool drama but a bit disappointed with the appearances of the actor. rock is not all about sexy..they were too sexy especially the lead vocal (KJE)..they looks bad..may be because too old to wear like that

i love the flow of the story .. but im still in episode 4 part 1 .. and i've seen in this description that Jan Tae-Hyeon is Jeon Seol-hee's boyfriend.. does that mean.. she'll end up with Jan Tae-Hyeon and not getting back with her ex-husband Cha Ji-Wook?? i kinda like .. if Cha Ji-Wook will realize that he loves Jeon Seol-Hee and will do everything to get back together with her.. after all, you'll never know what you have until you lost it.. :) #justsharing

Watched ep.1 and must say "I Am Legend" looks to be a very promising drama series! Not sure why Kim Seon-A dropped out, but Kim Jeong-Eun fills the role of a rocking older woman perfectly. The other ladies in the band "The Madonna Band" are interesting and so is the music. Maybe things work in cycle with the currently airing MBC drama "Gloria" making heavy use of 70's & 80's western music in the series and "I Am Legend" does so also. A very catchy hard rock version of "Killing Me Softly with His Song" is belt out by "The Madonna Band" before the end credits role in Episode 1. Can't wait for tomorrow and Episode 2 ....
