[edit] Plot
"Heart of Ice" is based on the true story of short-track speed skating coach Meng Qingyu, who trained several athletes to become world champions. The film centers on a local coach named Zhao Hongqi, who has trained a group of children nicknamed "little coal balls." They are playful, but naughty, and they had never been trained in short-track speed skating.
However, through harsh training sessions led by Zhao Hongqi, the children finally live up to his expectations and become an elite national team.
