Plot
During the early days of the American occupation, a group of prostitutes live and work in the basement of a bombed-out building, governing themselves with a strict code of conduct. Anyone who breaks the rules – particularly the rule forbidding sex without pay – is brutally tortured and banished. The women’s solidarity begins to collapse when they shelter a wounded man - each of whom to claim for herself.

I saw this film when I was visiting Japan this past December. I loved it!! I could not understand a word of it but was able to figure it out (or so I thought) as it progressed. It this particular version available for purchase or rent?
