Plot
A story about a girl with little ambition who gradually matures as a woman through a Japanese card game competition that she unwillingly participated. Koi, who dreams for a quiet and modest life, ends up entering a poem card competition, Hyakunin Isshu, where she becomes the focus of attention against her wish with her winning streak. The drama evolves around the competition and her first romance toward Yura, a masterless samurai who tries to use Koi to revenge for his father. -- NHK

The card game puzzled me at first. It seemed like all contestants are racing to find a particular card w/c is dictated by a gamemaster.
I think this drama's love story is of the "against-all-odds" type, mostly involving Koi-chan and Rounin Yura Shindo. That's the way I understood the over-all story of the drama(since I can't understand Japanese).
