- Eugune was cast for the leading role in cable TV drama "Color of Women," scheduled to air in December, 2011 on cable TV station Channel A. Her sister was then seriously in a car accident that occurred in Guam. Eugene then decided to withdraw from the drama series.

Like a lot of Americans, I find Eugene to be an odd name for a girl, especially since a lot of TV, movies, and radio programs over here traditionally use it for the roles of weak, socially inept, nerdy men. I get that it's close to Yu-Jin in phonetic terms, but it's something of a shock to expect to see a male loser and then be faced with a stunningly beautiful woman. From my cultural standpoint, ethnocentric though it may be, the first thought that comes to my head is, "Who would hate her that much, to saddle her with THAT name?" I'm just saying this is how it strikes me. If it works for her in her homeland, more power to her. Just be aware that it could hamper expansion into certain Western markets. And yes, that is a relevant point, since Eugene is the woman's stage name, something chosen specifically to make her stand out in show biz.

When i first saw you in 'Save your last dance for me" i found you are so cute n pretty but i'm falling head over heel with u after watching 'Wonderful Life'.You're such a talented actress i don't think anyone else fits your role in that drama.Congrats on your wedding with Ki Tae Young oppa!.And nothing is wrong with her name.She's a former SES k-pop girl band and 'E' stands for her.Love you always!

She used "Eugene" because of S.E.S. She belonged to SES when she started as a singer in 1997. S (Sea or Bada), E (Eugene), S (Shoo). Also, she grew up in Guam, however, her English name at that time was Gloria. I knew girls with the name "Eugene", so what's the problem with that? Morever, she's getting married to her love interest in Seeking Love/Creating Destiny Ki Tae-Young in July. They really look good together & have been together for over a year. Best wishes & congratulations to them! :)

The only reason she has Eugene as her name is because it sounds like yu-jin if you listen to it differently you'll understand. i think she is really pretty and that she plays quite alot of characters i like. I do want to see her act with Lee min ki again. they go so well together..
