A young woman whose life has been a breeze up to now suffers a disappointment in love which acts as the impetus for her to start working at a law firm, a completely new field to her. This love comedy depicts how the young woman, while struggling with love and with her work, comes to know what the real worth of a person as she strives to change into a can-do woman recognized by everyone. Reika Nanjo has the attractiveness of a polished diamond. She's been raised to believe that good looks and finely honed physical proportions are a woman's most important assets.Having become engaged to Shinichiro Natsume, a lawyer she met while studying in Australia, she suddenly hears from Shinichiro, who's returned prior to her to Japan, that the engagement is off. Rushing back to Japan to find out what's wrong, Reika heads for the law office where Shinichiro is working. But there she's told that there's no admittance to the company without an appointment. She mixes in with other woman there for a job interview and manages to land a job at the law firm. The man she's assigned to work for is Kosuke Nabeshima, an odd-job man among the lawyers and the only one who's a far cry from an elite type.
