Barunson is a large South Korean media conglomerate. The Company operates its business under three divisions: fancy, contents and entertainment & movie. The fancy division provides paper products & office supplies. The content division develops, manufactures and licences cartoon characters for domestic and overseas markets. The entertainment & movie division is involved in the management of entertainers and production of movies and dramas. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008, the sale of fancy division accounted for approximately 64% of the Company's total revenue.

Barunson Film Division was launched by Barunson Co., Ltd. as its film production outfit in 2005. It soon merged with I Pictures, one of the most active film investment companies in South Korea. Since then Barunson has already produced the blockbuster hit "The Good, the Bad, and the Weird" and holds rights to two Joon-ho Bong films, (one of which is Mother).
